Boitšoaro bo tsitsitseng ke khoutu boema-fofane ba Hyatt Place Amsterdam

Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is conveniently located near Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, right in the heart of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Famed as a thriving business hub and offering a wide variety of enriching experiences to both business and leisure travelers alike.

Green Globe e sa tsoa nchafatsoa Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport for the second year.

Effective resource management over the past year includes the installation of light sensors in hallways and storage rooms, and LED lamps in emergency staircases and the garage. The hotels action plan over 2016 to 2020 will see the replacement of all conventional lighting with energy efficient LED in public areas. Furthermore, this year, low flow water devices will be fitted on bathroom sinks in all guestrooms.

As a member of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is committed to Hyatt Thrive, the group’s corporate responsibility (CR) strategy and platform. The aim of Hyatt Thrive is to create long-term value for people the hotel engages with and local communities. Extensive training in green practices is provided for new staff members including an introduction to Green Globe and energy, waste and water measures as part of its induction programs. In addition, three Hyatt Earth training modules are delivered each year entitled – Creating Awareness, Waste and Pollution, and Energy and Water.

In line with its CR policy, the property prefers to do business with suppliers who adhere to the basic principles and ideals outlined in Hyatt’s Supplier Code of Conduct. It is hoped that through working together with suppliers, social and environmentally responsible and ethical business practices will evolve. Through this process Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport will fulfill its mission to provide authentic hospitality through making a difference in everyday life.

Hyatt is committed to the support and respect of the fundamental protection of litokelo tsa botho as embodied in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The group is committed to managing its core business consistent with fundamental human rights and attempts to foster similar ideals amongst property owners, franchise operators and suppliers. Furthermore, Hyatt’s human rights philosophy extends to the wider community. In 2015, Hyatt signed the End Child Prostitution and Trafficking (ECPAT) Tourism Child-Protection Code of Conduct (Khoutu). The Code, supported by UNICEF and The World Tourism Organization (UNTWO), focuses on providing awareness, tools and support to the tourism industry to prevent the sexual exploitation of children.

This year, as one of its social initiatives, used soaps were collected by the hotel and donated to the Save the Soap foundation. The organization is committed to improving the health standards and decreasing infant mortality rates amongst children living in developing countries such as Uganda in Africa. Orphans and street children residing in shelters (including disabled children and babies) need soap for bathing as well as washing clothes, sheets and even floors. For these children living in poverty, soap remnants often considered simply as waste become instead a lifeline to a brighter, cleaner future.
